At CalypsoAI, we are building an AI enablement platform that expedites the time to build and deploy AI applications supporting multiple vendors, models and modalities. All of this with security, auditing, access management and reporting built in. 

We are looking for a collaborative Product Designer to become part of our Product Team. As the Product Designer, you will be responsible for helping drive the expansion and upkeep of the pattern library and design systems, prototyping, wireframing and workshopping features within the product, developing designs for new features and working closely alongside our Senior Designer as we grow as a team.

Job Description: Product Designer Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop User Interfaces: Become part of the product team while we work on creating an exciting new AI product. Collaborate with other teams in the organisation including engineers and data scientists.
• Research: Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to deeply understand user behaviours, preferences, and pain points.
• Wireframing and Prototyping: Produce wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma that illustrate the flow of our designs.
• Visual Design: Create visually dynamic designs that maintain a high level of consistency throughout our product. Develop and maintain the design system and pattern library. Workshop with the team new features and flows within the product.
• Accessibility and Inclusivity: Implement accessible design principles to ensure that our products can be used by individuals of all abilities.
• Stay Updated on Industry Best Practices: Keep up to date with the latest best practices and tools in UI/UX design and AI.
• Present and Communicate: Clearly present your designs to internal teams while working closely with the design team.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field. Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, preferably in a tech or AI-focused company.
• Strong Product Design Portfolio: Demonstrating proficiency in product design, layouts, typography, interaction design, design thinking, detail focused and shows rationale behind the design choices. Must illustrate that the candidate is a creative problem solver who can tackle complex design challenges and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Proficiency in Design Tools: Expertise in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or other similar tools. Understanding of design systems, best practices, and guidelines across iOS, Android and Web.
• AI and Technology Interest: A passion for AI and a curiosity to explore its potential applications in user interface design.
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to share and present your approach and suggestions.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and with evolving project scope.
